Paul R. McConahy, Sr., 86, of North Sewickley Twp passed away at Wexford Healthcare Center on November 16, 2024. He was the son of the late Kenneth and Mary Lucille (McCaslin) McConahy Stephenson and was born on November 22, 1937 in Ellwood City.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Laura J. McCann; his children; Diane Burry and her husband Ron of Franklin Twp, Paul R. McConahy, Jr of Penn Hills, Mark McConahy and his wife Lindsay of Latrobe, his grandchildren; Jarrod Burry and his wife Debbie, R. Michael Burry and his wife Megan, Erin Shetler and her husband Levi, David McConahy, Daniel McConahy, Kirsten McConahy, Kendall McConahy, Kacey McConhay, Adam Saunders and his wife Rebekah as well as 6 great grandchildren.
Paul attended Lincoln High School. He met and married the love of his life, Laura McCann, in 1957. He was a US Army Veteran. He was retired from B&W after 28 years of service and then was employed by Koppel Steel, until his retirement. He was a lifetime member of Bell Memorial Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder and Trustee. Paul was an avid hunter and a fan of Pittsburgh Sports. He and his family were avid campers and spent many nights camping with their family. Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his brother; Kenneth McConahy and his sisters;Mary Elizabeth Thompson and Nancy Barr.
Friends may call on the family on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, from 10:00AM-12:00PM with a Funeral Service following at 12:00PM at Bell Memorial Presbyterian Church in Ellwood City with Reverend Steve Plyler, officiating
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial donations made to Bell Memorial Presbyterian Church
Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery in Beaver Falls.
