Harry “Whitey” Perkowitch, 75, of Ellwood City passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at his home. He was the son of the late Edward and Sarah (Payne) Perkowitch and was born in Ellwood City on November 29, 1948
He is survived by his daughters; Sherry Baker and her husband Thomas of New Castle, Kimberly Davis and Sam Eaton Ellwood City; his grandchildren; Tommy Baker, III and Mackenzie of Salem, OH, Nikki Baker of New Castle, Jacob and Ronnie Parks of Ohio, Sarah Parks and Sean Shaffer of South Carolina, Amanda Brandt and Frank Rizzo of Beaver Falls, great-grandchildren; Ashton Baker, Aleigha Parks, Ryleigh Parks, Nevaeh Brown, Liam Brown and Leo Brown, and Everett Shaffer;
Harry was a graduate of Lincoln High School and Beaver County Community College. He worked at B&W. He taught welding at CCBC and was a welder at various other mills. He was known as “Candy Pap” by his grandkids. He loved old cars and fishing. He was hardcore Pittsburgh Steeler’s Fan. He took care of his family, and he was a loving father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his siblings; Margaret Perkowitch and Edward “Bud” Perkowitch.
Friends may call on the family on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, from 5:00PM-7:00PM with a Funeral Service at 7:00PM at the TURNER-HYDE FUNERAL HOME, in Ellwood City.
