Jeffrey D. Pierce, 59, of Ellwood City, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2024 surrounded by loved ones in his home. Born on May 19, 1965, in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late David and Helen (Burry) Pierce.
Jeff graduated from Seneca Valley in 1983. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Tri-State University in Angola, IN, in 1988. He excelled in entrepreneurship, problem solving, sales and manufacturing. Jeff worked with his father Dave at Mayfield Foundry in Beaver Falls, PA. Together they purchased Milltex and then acquired Medart Inc., an engineering and manufacturing company, in 1994. As a self-described serial entrepreneur, he would collaborate to start up Medart Processing Technologies and acquire RBS Manufacturing. Jeff served as President and CEO while utilizing his sales acumen to establish a company he thought of as a second family. His dedication to his Medart family was reciprocated in loyalty and lifelong friendships.
He cared deeply in providing for those he worked with, his community as well as his family.
Jeff’s main passion in life was spending time with his work and home family. He loved creating joyful lasting memories taking his family on trips to beaches, mountains, and amusement parks. He was an awesome cook, gardener, enjoyed music, hunting, fishing, golfing, playing baseball and coaching, Steeler football, fantasy sports, and his kids’ activities. Jeff had a maverick personality with a witty sense of humor, a zest for life and was above all a generous, loving, kindhearted family man, who cared for those around him more than himself. He is deeply loved and will be incredibly missed.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Angela (Falk) Pierce, children, RJ Pierce, Gwen Pierce, Sean Falk, Sianna Falk, Elyse Pierce, Viviana Pierce, his brother James (Karen) Pierce, his aunt Dorothy (Burry) Gallagher, lots of cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Julia (Pierce) Speicher. He embraced his faith and relationship with God as a member of Concord Church.

I had the pleasure of working with Jeff for twenty years as one of his bankers and friends. I will miss his entrepreneurial spirit, sense of humor, honesty and kindness. We all hope as we go through the trials and tribulations of our working lives that we meet people like Jeff along the way. Jeff had a way of making a routine day better simply by being a part of it. I loved listening to Jeff talk about his business and his family, something he did frequently. He clearly loved both. I will always remember him fondly. His family has my deepest sympathy.
