October is National Bullying Prevention Month.
The Ellwood City Moose Club will be taking action at a local level to help create a safer environment for the children in our community and bring awareness to the initiative.
The Moose Club will be hosting a FREE “Bullying Seminar” on Tuesday, October 1st at the lodge. The event will take place at 7:00 p.m.
Guest speakers will be Jose DiCervo from Sovereign Martial Arts Worldwide and K-9 Officer John Baldelli with his K-9 companion, Baki.
As a service to the community, the Ellwood City Moose invites all local children and parents to attend this free seminar. Refreshments will be provided for the children.
The Ellwood City Moose Lodge is located at 1400 Factory Avenue, Ellwood City, PA 16117.
According to The National Child Traumatic Stress Network, October was first declared as National Bullying Prevention Month in 2006. Since then, October has been a time to acknowledge that bullying has devastating effects on children and families such as school avoidance, loss of self-esteem, increased anxiety, and depression.
