According to a public information news release, on September 7th at approximately 1:57 a.m., PA State Police investigated a homicide that occurred at Breaker’s Pub, located on Portersville Road, Ellport Borough, Lawrence County.
According to the report, Nathan Fink arrived at the pub and was involved in a physical altercation with bar patron. After the altercation Fink was escorted to leave the premises and left operating a white GMC Sierra. A few moments later, Fink returned to the parking lot of the pub and opened fire shooting a rifle and handgun at the exterior of the pub, striking multiple vehicles and penetrating the main entrance door striking victims inside the establishment.
After Fink fired his weapons, he traveled west along Portersville Road and continued to fire his weapon from his vehicle at multiple businesses and residences and fled traveling east along Portersville Road.
Crystal Wawryznski, 37, of Ellwood City, was pronounced dead at the scene from gunshot wounds and her husband, Jonathan Wawryznski, 39, sustained non-life threatening gunshot wounds. Joshua Lyons, 41, of Ellwood City, was also struck by bun fire and sustained a serious injury and was transported to a Pittsburgh hospital. Edward Martin, 35, of Beaver Falls, sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wound and David Huzenic, 64, of Ellwood City, was shot inside his apartment and was listed in stable condition according to the report.
Upon further investigation, Fink was identified as the shooter who acted alone and was taken into custody at his residence, located on Barkley Road, Perry Township, without incident on September 7th, 2024, at approximately 2:15 p.m. Fink was criminally charged with Criminal Homicide and Reckless Endangering Another Person and placed in Lawrence County Jail.
