While the summer has been pretty quiet at the local Moose Club, lots of changes have been happening in the background.
As of last month, the Board of Officer has almost been completely replaced with the exception of Trustee Dave Gallocher, who’s been on the board for over 10 years. In May, Joe Barresi was sworn in as President and Paul Pishioneri took the position of Chaplain. During the 2nd board meeting in August the following members were sworn in: Randy Whelan as Vice President, Cassandra Pishioneri as Treasurer, Rodney Houk and Conny Gallenz as Trustees and Ray Gallenz as Administrator. Board meetings are normally being held every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. and members are encouraged to attend.
Donna Tammaro Kish has been very active leading the Activities Committee organizing lots of events for the coming months. In September alone the club will be hosting The Look on 9/7 and Mixtape Madness on 9/21. Local bands like Suckerpunch, Celestial Overdrive, The D-Tour Band, Nickel Plated Revolver Band, Planes over Vegas, Mr. Miyagi, AC & Resistors and Ernie Valley as Chubby Love are scheduled to perform before the end of the year.
In addition to live music there will be a complementary Laser Tag Halloween Party on October 27 for club member’s children/grandchildren ages 6-16. A members’ kids Christmas Party is being planned for 12/15 and an adult Christmas Party on 12/21.

With the football season officially kicking off this week – the Moose has a tailgate party planned for each Sunday of this month with complementary food, starting with a BEAT MY MEAT Cookoff this Sunday at 1pm.
Details on their events can be found on the Moose Facebook.com Page and on their official website, both are being updated almost daily. Guests are welcome to the majority of events and will be signed in.
If someone is interested in joining the Ellwood City Moose, applications are available at the club, however Moose International is running a membership special until 12/31/24 waiving the $20 Administration fee for new member / re-enrolling members if they sign up online for a 2- year membership (cost is $40 per year).
