On Sunday, August 25th, Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church is celebrating a special day – commemorating 225 years of God’s faithfulness at Slippery Rock Church.
Come out to celebrate, share a memory and enjoy God’s ministry at the church.
The event begins at 10:00 a.m. with worship service led by Rv. Dr. Carolyn Moss. A potluck luncheon will follow in the social hall and memories will be shared. The event will move outside, weather permitting, for more time together. The Sanctuary Jazz Band will play music and ice cream will be available for all to enjoy.
The church is located at 258 Slippery Rock Dr, Ellwood City, PA, United States, Pennsylvania.
Full schedule of activities planned for Sunday:
- 10:00 a.m. Please join us for a special church anniversary worship service led by Rev. Dr. Carolyn Moss.
- 11:15 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. An “Old Fashioned” Potluck Luncheon will be held in the social hall following the worship service. Those who are able are asked to bring a dish or salad to share. Table service and beverages will be provided.
- 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Plans are to return to the sanctuary for a time of sharing memories of the Past, Present and Future of Slippery Rock Church. Do you have a memory you would like to share? We would love to hear from you!
- 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. We will be moving outside, weather permitting, for more time together. The Sanctuary Jazz Band will be with us sharing music. There will also be delicious ice cream for all to take part in. We suggest you bring a lawn chair or blanket for the concert.

We give thanks to the Lord for His incredible blessings over the years to us here at Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church! We have witnessed God work mightily in the hearts of His people. We have seen Him sustain this ministry through challenging times. And we have watched Him work everything together for the good of those who love Him.
We have also heard the stories of the men and women who were faithful to God’s call to start and nurture Slippery Rock Church. We’ve given thanks for the people who have been part of building up Slippery Rock Church for the glory of God.
Our desire is to glorify God in our CELEBRATION. Our worship and time together will be enriched by your participation, since you are part of God’s ministry here at Slippery Rock Church over the years. We would love to have you and your family join us in praising the Lord for all that He has done and is going to do in the future at Slippery Rock Church.
