Larry Follett, 84

Larry Follett, 84, of North Sewickley Twp passed away with his family by his side on July 13, 2024, at his home. He was the son of the late James and Margaret (Burnside) Follett and was born November 1, 1939, in Ellwood City.

He is survived by the love of his life; his wife Connie (Barton) Follett, his children; Jennifer Miloszewski and her husband Mike of Darlington, Lori Ziegler and her husband William of Mercer, Troy Follett and his wife Kris of Ellwood City, his grandchildren; Jared DeSensi, Morgan DeSensi and her partner Steven,Marissa DeSensi, Madison, Alyson, and Ashton Miloszewski, step-granddaughter; Ashley Bishop and her husband Ben, two great-grandchildren; Weston and Waylon Wolfe, two step-great grandchildren; Bailey and Braxton Bishop, his sister; Lana Dee Barnes and her husband Dave also surviving are his brother-in-law and sister in law; Larry and Nan Barton.

Larry was born and raised in Ellwood City and met and married the love of his life Connie Barton on August 10, 1963, and they were married 60 years. Larry was a US Army Veteran Serving proudly from 1963-1965 and he served until 1969 in the US Army Reserves. Larry joined the Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Department in 1958 and served four years as Chief. He was a Lifetime member and served 66 years as a Firefighter. He coached girls’ softball and baseball and he and his family also enjoyed camping. He also enjoyed hunting. Larry was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather and true friend to all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his brother; Ronald Follett and his wife Shirley as well as his brother-in law and sister-in-law Charles and Pat Barton.

Friends may call at the Turner-Hyde Funeral Home on July 18, 2024, from 3:00pm-8:00pm with a Firefighter Service to be held at 7pm, with Chaplain Tod Custer leading the service. A Funeral Service will be held on July 19, 2024, at 11:00AM with the rendering of Military Honors by the Veteran’s Honor Guard followed by the service with Rev. Nikki Rech, officiating, at Turner-Hyde’s.

Internment with a Graveside Committal Service will be held at 12:00PM at The Lillyville Church of God Cemetery, immediately following the Funeral Service.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Franklin Twp Volunteer Fire Department

The family would also like to thank Three Oaks Hospice, especially Theresa, Sam, Nikki, and Maria.
