Ellwood City Public Library Activities For Week Of July 15h

The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities. Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.

NOTE

The Library has partnered with Seneca Library District, Oil Creek Library District, Erie County Public Library and Crawford County Federated Library System for e-books. You can now use the Overdrive or Libby App. to borrow books from the above Libraries. Please call the library with any questions.

HOURS

Hours are Monday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Please remember no one is available to take your calls unless it is in the hours listed above.

Activities taking place this week include.

MONDAY, JULY 15

  • 1:30 p.m. – “Afternoon Book Group for Adults,” will be discussing the book “The Secret Book of Flora Lea” by Patti Callahan Henry.

TUESDAY, JULY 16

  • 10:30 a.m. – “Jumpstart to Kindergarten,” for kids starting Kindergarten in the fall.
  • 12:30 p.m. – “Kindergarten-3rd grade” program designed for kids in this age group for learning through games and activities.
  • 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.
  • 6:00 p.m. – “Just You and Me Book Group,” will be discussing the book “Nancy Drew and the Secret of the Old Clock” by Carolyn Keene.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 17

  • 10:30 a.m. – “4th-8th Grade,” a program designed especially for kids in this age group. Activities, crafts and speaker all geared around our outdoor adventure theme.
  • 1:00 p.m. – “Family Storytime,” a program with stories, singing and fun for all ages.
  • 1:00 p.m. -3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.

THURSDAY, JULY 18

  • 10:30 a.m. – “9th-12th Grade Program,” a program designed for this age group.
  • 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.
  • 1:30 p.m. – “Book Bunch Book Group,” will be discussing the book “Lemonade War” by Jaqueline Davies.

FRIDAY, JULY 19

  • 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. – “Coloring for Adult,” a program to come and relax and relieve anxiety as you create a beautiful picture.
  • 12:30 – 2:30 – “Knitting for Adults,” you can work on individual projects or get advice from other Knitters.

SAVE THE DATE:

The Library is collecting good, clean condition books for the book sale. We are not excepting Encyclopedias, Readers Digest condensed books, VHS tapes, Text books or Magazines.

August 16th we will be hosting a wine walk from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $25.00 and can be purchased at the Library, from a Board member, from All Aboard Ellwood members and on Eventbrite. This event will feature local wineries, craft beer, distilleries and food trucks.
