Ronald D. Rinker, 70

Ronald D. Rinker, 70, of North Sewickley Township, passed away Friday, July 5, 2024, surrounded by family. Born August 5, 1953, in Oil City, he was the son of the late Dale F. and Irene R. Young Rinker. He married Betsy Bailey Rinker on February 24, 1973.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his infant brother Gary, and his father-in-law Chester Bailey.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Betsy; his son, Jason D. (Adele) of Ellwood City; brother, Richard (Judith) of North Sewickley, and his mother-in-law, Joline Bailey of Clearfield. He is additionally survived by many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Ron graduated from Keystone High School in Knox, Pa. in 1971. Upon graduation at the age of 17, he relocated to Curwensville, PA to start a job that would become his lifelong career. It was there he met his beloved wife, Betsy. Ron dedicated 44 years to Kmart, where he worked as a district manager.

Ron was an avid sportsman throughout his life. In high school, he excelled in baseball, basketball, and football. As an adult, he continued his passion for sports by playing slow pitch softball in the Beaver County League and golfing. He was also a dedicated fan of car racing and enjoyed attending various sporting events. Additionally, he shared his love for sports by coaching youth football for many years. He also had a passion for travel, with Myrtle Beach being one of his favorite destinations.

Visitation will be held at Concord Church at 285 Concord Church Road, Beaver Falls on Thursday July 11th from 1pm -4pm with a service immediately following officiated by Pastor Chris Kindle.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the American Heart Association.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home, Ellwood City.
