Ellwood City Public Library Activities For Week Of July 8th

The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities. Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.

NOTE

The Library has partnered with Seneca Library District, Oil Creek Library District, Erie County Public Library and Crawford County Federated Library System for e-books. You can now use the Overdrive or Libby App. to borrow books from the above Libraries. Please call the library with any questions.

HOURS

Hours are Monday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Please remember no one is available to take your calls unless it is in the hours listed above.

Activities taking place this week include.

TUESDAY, JULY 9

  • 10:30 a.m. – “Jumpstart to Kindergarten,” for kids starting Kindergarten in the fall.
  • 12:30 p.m. – “Kindergarten-3rd grade” program designed for kids in this age group for learning through games and activities.
  • 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.
  • 3:00 p.m. – “Hooked on Books Book Group,” will be discussing the book “A Fish in a Tree” by Linda Mullaly Hunt.
  • 7:00 p.m. – “Twenty-Something Book Group,” will be discussing the book “The Poppy War” by R.F. Kuang.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 10

  • 10:30 a.m. – “4th-8th Grade,” a program designed especially for kids in this age group. Activities, crafts and speaker all geared around our outdoor adventure theme.
  • 1:00 p.m. – “Puppet Performance/Story Time,” our Puppet Theater participants will do a puppet show for our Story Time.
  • 3:00 p.m. – “Teen Writing Group,” you work on your own project and get advice from others.

THURSDAY, JULY 11

  • 10:30 a.m. – “9th-12th Grade Program,” this month we are learning CPR training. Come and learn how to save a life!
  • 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.

FRIDAY, JULY 12

  • 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. – “Coloring for Adult,” a program to come and relax and relieve anxiety as you create a beautiful picture.
  • 12:30 – 2:30 – “Knitting for Adults,” you can work on individual projects or get advice from other Knitters.

SAVE THE DATE:

The Library is collecting books for the annual Book Sale.

August 16th we will be hosting a wine walk from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $25.00 and can be purchased at the Library, from a Board member, from All Aboard Ellwood members and on Eventbrite. This event will feature local wineries, craft beer, distilleries and food trucks.
