4th Annual Dog Days Of Summer Returns Next Weekend

Woof, woof!

The fourth annual Reed’s Services Dog Days of Summer event will take place next weekend in Ewing Park.

The multi-day event is scheduled to take place 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 21st and Saturday, June 22nd, and from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday,
June 23rd.

The event is rain or shine, pet friendly, and will benefit police K9 unites in Lawrence and Beaver counties.

The weekend will feature dock diving dogs, barn dogs, working dogs & K9 police competitions.

There will also be hourly K9 demonstrations, food trucks, crafts, vendors, kids’ zone, games, silent auction, music, and more!

At 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, there will be the annual One-Mile Dog Walk through the Ewing Park Nature Trail. The cost is $10 per owner/dog and can be registered at the event or beforehand at either store location.

There will be food, drink and craft vendors, and Lumberjaxes axe throwing and a kids zone with games, crafts, pony rides and a petting zoo.

The weekend culminates with a hot dog eating contest at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, sponsored by Red Hot Restaurant.

Reed’s Services originally started the event in 2021 to save the Ellwood City police K-9 program, but now holds the annual event to support local K-9 units — many of which are self-funded.
