Norma M. Boots, 95, of Pleasant Hill Rd. Perry Township passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at her residence.
Born May 19, 1929 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late William Oris and Gertrude Gibson Houk. She was married to Paul N. Boots for 42 years when he passed away in 1993.
Norma graduated from Harlansburg High School. She was a devoted homemaker. Norma enjoyed singing in the choir at the Wurtemburg Methodist Church and also in the Pennsylvania State Choir in her youth. She was a member of the Women’s Society at Wurtemburg Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Diana (Dan) Franus of North Sewickley Township; son, Daniel (Vickie) Boots of Fombell; six grandchildren, Kristen (Byron) Clingerman, Carrie (Max) Schlosser, Connie (Michael) Lynch, Matthew (Theresa), Ashley, and Sarah Boots; ten great-grandchildren, Kassia Polomoscanik, Brynn Clingerman, Wes, Drew, and Cade Schlosser, James and Matthew Lynch, and Rylee, Owen, and Liam Boots.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son Thomas Boots in 1983. The last of her generation she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Clair, Jerry, and James, and two sisters Twila and Olive.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday June 1, 2024 from 11:00 am until the Funeral Service at 2:00 pm at the Wurtemburg Methodist Church. Rev. Jay Sterling will officiate.
Interment will be in the North Sewickley Cemetery.
