Derrick M Stevenson, 82, of Beaver Falls passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024 at the VA Medical Center in Aspinwall following a brief illness.
Born December 25, 1941 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late William and Kay Porter Stevenson.
Derrick graduated from Lincoln High School and served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked as a Beaver Falls Policeman from 1972 until his retirement in 1992. He also owned Stevenson’s Exterminating for a time. Derrick was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, the VFW and the American Legion. He enjoyed reading. Family was very important to Derrick, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Bonnie Richards Stevenson; two daughters, Tami Stevenson Clarke of Beaver Falls, Vicci Lea Stevenson of Ebinsburg; sister, Debbie (Barry) Goehring, brother, Tim (Sue) Stevenson, and sister in law, Donna Stevenson, all of Ellwood City; two grandsons, Michael Derrick Clarke, Matthew David (Maddy Coble) Clarke; three great grandchildren, Jayda, Mari,and Gia; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Stevenson and a grandson, David J. Clarke.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday June 1 from 10 am until the time of the Memorial Service at 11 at the Marshall Funeral Home. 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Military rites will be offered by the Veterans Honor Guard.
