The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities. Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.

The Library has partnered with Seneca Library District, Oil Creek Library District, Erie County Public Library and Crawford County Federated Library System for e-books. You can now use the Overdrive or Libby App. to borrow books from the above Libraries. Please call the library with any questions.
HOURS
Hours are Monday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Please remember no one is available to take your calls unless it is in the hours listed above.
Activities taking place this week include.
MONDAY, MAY 20
- 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.
- 1:00 p.m. – “Afternoon Book Group for Adults,” will be discussing the book “Coal River” by Ellen Marie Wiseman.
- 2:30 – 4:00 p.m. – “Tween and Teen After School Program,” for 5th through Senior year to socialize, play games, do crafts. Snacks are provided.
TUESDAY, MAY 21
- 10:00 a.m. – “Second Grade Community Day,” the 2nd grade students of both Ellwood and Riverside will be on a field trip to learn about the Library.
- 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.
- 6:00 p.m. – “Just You and Me Book Group,” will be discussing the book “Book Scavenger” by Jennifer Chambliss Bertman.
WEDNESDAY, MAY 22
- 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. –“Coloring for Adults,” a program for adults to come and de-stress while coloring with either our supplies or their own.
- 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. – “Adult Knitting Group,” a group that meets and works on individual projects. New people are welcome.
- 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. –“Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.
- 6:00 p.m. – “Adult Writing Group,” adults can work on new and existing projects.
THURSDAY, MAY 23
- 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.
SAVE THE DATE:
Saturday June 22 – “Victorian Tea,” the Library will host a tea party at Calvin Presbyterian Church at 615 Crescent Ave. Ellwood City from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Prizes for best hat. Raffle baskets are available at an additional charge. The tea tickets are $25.00 and there are 7 people to a table. Tickets are available at the Library and from Board members.
June 19th at 5:00 p.m. we will be showing a classic movie for the ages of 18 and up. Light refreshments will be served. Call the Library for Details.
