Violet Mae Wright Strohecker Scheidemantle, 85 of Ellwood City passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at her home. She was the daughter of the late Clark and Irvina (Wright) Strohecker and was born August 8, 1937, in Ellwood City.
She is survived by her son Jeffrey and his wife Tracy of Spotsylvania, VA, her daughter; Susan Tomlinson of New Galilee, Sharon Dziennik of Ellwood City, daughter; Sally Scheidemantle, of New Castle, her son Brian Scheidemantle of New Castle, her siblings; Donna Jones and her husband Arnold “Spike”, Irvin Strohecker and his wife Betty, Karen Holler, Richard “Dick” Strohecker and his wife Marylu, Linda Wawryznski and her husband William, John Strohecker and his wife Carmen, and Michele Gasper along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Violet was a graduate of Lincoln High School. She was a longtime care giver for her son, Brian. She enjoyed picnicking, making jewelry, and drawing. She also wrote music and played the guitar. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and going to rummage and garage sales. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and sister.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Scheidemantle, one sister; Patricia Main, a brother; Tommy Strohecker and one grandson; Brendan Murphy.
There will be a Gathering of Friends and Family on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 form 5:00pm-8:00pm at Turner’s in Elwood City.
