Councilman George Celli was recently awarded the Carol Sambol Award from the Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs for his 25 year dedication serving on Ellwood City Borough Council.
The award is presented to honor faithful and effective service.
Celli was presented the award by Sgt. Mike McBride of the Ellwood City Police Department. McBride was the first officer who Celli voted to hire during his time on Council.
