Arthur P. “Art” Pistachio, 65, of New Castle passed away Friday, June 30, 2023 at UPMC – Jameson Hospital following a two-year courageous battle with cancer.
Born November 12, 1957 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Samuel and Lucy Greco Pistachio.
Art had graduated from Lincoln High School in 1976. Following graduation, he served in the US Army from 1976-1981. He worked at Rockwell and then at SSI Welding. Some of Art’s interests were fishing, camping, and working in the garage. He enjoyed spending time with his dogs and loved spending time with his sons.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 38 years Lori Kingston Pistachio; two sons, Dan and Ryan (Ashley) Pistachio both of New Castle; two sisters, Barbara (Clint) Couse of Warren, PA and Rose Marie (Gino) Putrino of New York and two brothers, Joe (Margaret) of Florida and Samuel “Sal” (Linda) of Maryland.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Lucille and Carol, and three brothers, Ken, David, and John.
Per Art’s wishes no services will be held at this time. There will be a celebration of his life announced at a later date.
