The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities. Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.

Hours are Monday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Please remember no one is available to take your calls unless it is in the hours listed above.

Activities taking place this week include.

MONDAY, MAY 29

• Closed in observance of Memorial Day

WEDNESDAY, MAY 31

• 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. – “Coloring for Adults,” a program for adults to come and de-stress while coloring with either our supplies or their own.
• 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. – “Adult Knitting Group,” which meets weekly to work on individual projects. New members welcome.

Summer Reading Programs are starting up in June. Please call the Library to register or if you have any questions.

Jumpstart to Kindergarten is Tuesdays June 13, 20, 27, and July 11, and 18th at 10:00 a.m.

Finished Kindergarten K- 3 will be Wednesdays June 14, 21, 28 and July 5, and 12 at 11:00 a.m.

Puppet Theater 4th -12th will be Thursdays June 15, 22, 29 and July 6 and 13 at 10:00 a.m.

Book clubs will be as follows: Book Bunch finished 3rd will be Wednesdays June 14, July 12 and August 9 at Noon. Bookworms finished 4th and 5th grade will be Thursdays June 22, July 13, and August 10 at Noon. Hooked on Books 6th – 7th will be Thursdays June 15, July 6, and August 3 at Noon. Food 4 Thought 8th – 12th will be Thursdays June 29, July 20 and August 17 at Noon. Just You and Me 4th – 5th will be Tuesdays June 20, July 18, and August 15 at 6:30 p.m.

There will be a Family Night Thursdays June 8, July 6 and August 3 at 6:00 p.m.

June 8th at 6:00 p.m. “Drive-In Car Movie Night” Kids are encouraged to bring a decorated cardboard box to sit inside and watch the movie.

Family Story Time will be Wednesdays June 14, 21, 28 and July 5, 12 at 6:00 p.m.

“Afternoon Tea Party” 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. June 17th at Calvin Presbyterian Church. You can purchase tickets at the Library.
