Carolyn Irene Sarver, 83, of Ellwood City passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Wexford Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Hobart and Clara (Vogler) Miller. She was born April 17, 1940, in Ellwood City.
She is survived by her daughters; Kathleen Frickanish and her husband Mark of Ellwood City, Penny Badger and her husband Keith of Palmyra, PA, Melinda Cappello of Ellwood City, grandchildren; Kayla Czeczely and her husband Gary, Jake Frickanish of Ellwood, City, Emily Sarver of Harrisburg, Gretta Shaner and her husband Russel of New Castle, Carson Cappello of Ellwood City, great-grandchildren; Porscia Czeczely, Bentley Czeczely, Monroe Czeczely, Keanu Czeczely, Swayze Czeczely, Coco Czeczely, Nova Shaner, and Hemi Shaner, her brother; Dr.Thomas Miller and his wife Becky of Clarion, and a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Carolyn was a graduate of Lincoln High School. She married the love of her life Richard “Art” Sarver on June 12, 1965. She was homemaker and loved and cared for her family. She loved to sew and very active and dedicated to the Yellow Ribbon Girls. She made thousands of Christmas stockings and she also loved quilting. She, her husband Art, and her family were longtime members at the First United Methodist Church in Ellwood City. She loved football and was a hardcore Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. She and her husband Art loved woodworking, gardening and making their home beautiful.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Art Sarver, of 46 years, one grandson: Ricky Lyons, and 4 siblings.
Friends may call on the family on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, from 11:00am-1:00pm with a Funeral Service following at 1:00pm at Turner Funeral Home-Ellwood City.
Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery.
