Borough of Ellwood City Announces Community Garden Coloring Contest Winners

The Borough of Ellwood City is proud to announce the winners of the Community Garden Coloring Contest.

The coloring contest was open to all residents of Elwood City between the ages of 4 and 12 and was hosted by the Department of Public Works.

The winners are as follows:

  • Age group 4-6: Emma Jeannette
  • Age group 7-9: Allie Aiken
  • Age group 10-12: Anna Bucci

“The contest received 90 entries and had a difficult time choosing the winners as the children of our Borough are extremely talented!” says Rhiannon Schnell of the Public Works Department. “We look forward to hosting the contest again in the future.”

The winners received a $50.00 prize sponsored by Borough Manager Kevin Swogger.

Their posters will be displayed on the utility shed at the Community Garden at 5 Points.

“We are so excited to share the talent of the tiny hands with big hearts in our Borough!” adds Schnell.
