Shirley R. Kunselman, 91, of Shenango Township, went home to the Lord on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Carriage Manor in New Castle.
She was born on June 29, 1931 in New Bethlehem, PA, the daughter of the late Myron and Ethel Phoebe (Wohlbaugh) Crawford. She married the love of her life, Harry B. Kunselman on September 30, 1950. They were married for 51 years until his passing on February 17, 2002.
Shirley was a member of the Independent Methodist Church in New Castle. She was an excellent baker and loved baking cookies and making fudge for family and friends at Christmas. She was also an excellent seamstress and loved to design and sew for her family. Her most cherished moments were spent with her family.
Survivors include daughter, Wendy S. (Terry) Grimes and son, Gregory D. Kunselman both of Shenango Township; three grandsons; Erik (Toni) Kunselman, Jonathan (Michelle) Kunselman, and Kristofer (Fiancee Audree Rayl) Grimes, and great-grandson Matthew Case.
The last of her family, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Norma Jean Smith and Lois “Toot” Dean; three brothers, Myron “Buck”, Vern, and Paul Crawford; stepfather, Jessie Clyde Milliron, and her daughter-in-law, Laurie Kunselman.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday April 20, 2023 from 4:00 pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 7:00 pm conducted by Rev. Matthew Bupp at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main Street Wampum.
Interment will follow in Castle View Memorial Park.
