Carolyn G. Hinkle, 83, of Perry Twp passed away peacefully, at her home with the love of her family surrounding her, on April 5,2023. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Esther (Brown) Magee and was born in New Castle.
She was survived and will be lovingly remembered by her husband, of 64 years, Bud “Earl” Hinkle, her son; Bobby Hinkle and his wife Tammy, her daughter; Debbie Galbreath and her husband Chris, her grandson; Jason Hufnagel and his wife Britney and one granddaughter; Brianna Kauffman, great-granddaughters; Alexis and Kenna Hufnagel, her sister; Bonnie Lansberry and her husband Bob, her brothers-in-law; Bernie Lutz and Jim Graham, along with several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Carolyn was born January 22, 1940. She met and married the love of her life, Bud “Earl” Hinkle, in 1958 and they were married 64 years. Bud said, “It was Love at First Sight.” She was a graduate of the New Castle Beauty Academy in 1965 and the Beaver Medical Center of Nursing in 1980. She loved her job as a nurse since she was always able to help those in need, until her retirement.
She loved sitting on her porch, being outdoors so she would watch and feed the birds. She loved traveling with her family and attending stock car races. She and her family traveled to attend the Daytona 500 twice and the Talladega 500, in Alabama. She loved camping and traveling, especially to watch and support her son-in-law, Chris, rope cattle. More than anything, she loved to spend time and be with her family.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Patty Lutz and Nancy Graham and her parents.
The family will receive friends from 12pm-3pm, on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Turner Funeral & Cremation Services in Ellwood City with a Funeral Service following at 3:00pm, with Reverend Jay Sterling, Officiating.
Interment will be in Mountville Cemetery in Portersville.
