Paul L. Hazen, 88, of Ellwood City (Perry Township), passed away on February 20, 2023, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born May 17, 1934, in Ellwood City.
He is survived by his children; Jeff Hazen of Greenville, NY, Shane Hazen and his wife Talitha of Ellwood City, Kim Kerr of New Galilee, grandchildren; Randi Sikora and her husband Rick, Scarlett Hazen, and Abigail Hazen, great-grandchildren; Max Knechtel II, and Asia Kerr, great- great-grandchildren; Bentley and Baxley Knechtel, and one sister; Mary Shouse.
He is preceded in death by his wife, of over 60 years, Nancy (Stewart) Hazen.
He attended Lincoln High School. He met and married the love of his life, Nancy Lou Stewart, in 1957 and they were married over 60 years. He worked and retired from Babcock and Wilcox after 32 years of service. He owned and operated Hazen’s Taxidermy for over 50 years. He was an avid hunter and he hunted in eight different states and four countries. He loved showing off his elaborate taxidermy displays and telling countless stories about his hunting adventures.
He enjoyed traveling all over the world with his wife and they celebrated their 50th Wedding anniversary with a Trip to New Zealand. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great great grandfather and friend to all who knew him.
Per Paul’s wishes, there will be no services held.
