Claudia Jean Wimer, 85, of Wampum passed away Monday, December 26, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Hospital from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on December 7.
Born October 26, 1937 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late William and Winona McDonald Bartholomew.
Claudia had graduated from Union High School and then from the New Castle School of Business. She was employed by the Jameson Memorial Hospital for many years working as a biller and bookkeeper. She enjoyed doing puzzles and making personal greeting cards.
Survivors include her son, Rev. Mike (Deanna) Wimer of Wampum; daughter, Rae Lynn (Steve) Misco of Shenango Township; stepbrother, Earl “Skip” (Debby) Davis of Shenango Township; half-sister, Diane Martin of New Castle; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Bessie Shoaff.
The family will receive friends on Saturday January 7, 2023 from 12:00 pm until the time of the Memorial Service at 1:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main St. Wampum.
