Barbara Boydell, 88, a lifelong resident of Ellwood City passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022 following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born March 12, 1934 in Frisco, she was the daughter of the late Wilbert C. and Tressa L. (Ritter) Hall. She was married to John Boydell.
Barbara was a nurse for over 20 years at the Ellwood Hospital. She enjoyed sewing and gardening. Her most cherished moments were spent with family. Our dear mother was funny, loving, always caring, unselfish, and courageous. We are so fortunate to have spent our lives with her. We will miss her every day.
Survivors include two daughters, Tonia L. (Tom) Kissel of Mars and Joy A. (Brian) Foley of Ocala, FL; son, Rocco J. Gatto of Butler; husband, John Boydell of Ellwood City; sister, Judy Schwartz of Ellwood City; brother, Gerald Hall of North Carolina; 10 grandchildren and14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Angelo Gatto; two sons Angelo “Sonny” Gatto Jr. and David B. Gatto; sister Alma and her brother Gary Hall.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday November 22, 2022 from 3:00 pm until the Memorial Service at 5:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Pastor Dennis Arndt will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Lillyville Church Cemetery the following morning of November 23, 2022 at 11 am.
