Patricia A. (Reese) Vargo passed away on October 29, 2022, at Trinity Oaks Personal Care Center, in North Sewickley Twp. She was born July 17, 1930, in Ellwood City.
She is survived by her children; Gary and his wife Mary of Waldorf, MD, Cynthia “Cindy” Vargo of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Leslie Vargo of West Palm Beach, FL, grandchildren; John Vargo of New Oxford, PA, Thomas Vargo and his wife Rachael of San Antonio, TX, Meghan Carcaise of Marianna, FL, three great-grandchildren; Amelya, Ethan and Ava, one sister-in-law; Sue Reese of Ellwood City, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Pat was a world traveler, experiencing over 15 countries. She immersed herself in all the countries that she visited and their culture. She was so happy to have those life experiences. She was a voracious reader and an avid card player, challenge her if you dare! She excelled at bowling, belonging to a bowling league at Sims Bowling Lanes and she always enjoyed the camaraderie with her many friends. Pat was the kindest and most thoughtful Mother, Aunt, Sister, Sister-in-law, and friend to so many. She also loved and enjoyed baking for her friends and all her family.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Joseph L. Vargo, her siblings; George Reese, Joan Niles, Delores “Dolly” Burcik and David Reese.
A special thank you to the generous care and giving of warmth and compassion from the ladies at Trinity Oaks and Allegheny County Hospice.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting memorial donations, made in Patricia’s name, to the Ellwood City Library at 415 Lawrence Ave Ellwood City, PA 16117.
A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held for Patricia at a later date.
