CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:
On August 1st, at approximately 12:05 a.m., PA State Police were dispatched to Freeds Trailer Park, New Beaver Borough, Lawrence County, in reference to criminal mischief. On scene a 38-year-old female, of New Galilee, advised that the neighbor threw an egg at her window. The actor was warned and charges were not filed due to the Victims request.
HARASSMENT:
On July 1st, at approximately 5:53 p.m., PA State Police responded to the report of Harassment at Freeds Trailer Park, New Beaver Borough, Lawrence County. A 26-year-old female, of New Galilee, stated she was grabbed and pushed by her boyfriends mother identified as Tammy Coleman, 49, of Wampum, causing bruising to the victims shoulder area and rear neck. Coleman was charged with Harassment through the office of MDJ Jerry CARTWRIGHT.
ONE VEHICLE ACCIDENT:
An accident occurred on July 17th at approximately 9:10 p.m. as a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt was traveling east on Portersville Road just west of Spring Ave in Wayne Township. According to the report, a 17-year-old female driver lost control of vehicle due to rainy/slippery road conditions causing her to impact an embankment on the right (south) side of the roadway causing the crash to occur. The car struck the embankment causing it to flip and roll onto it’s roof. The female stated her left shoulder was sore from her seat belt and refused EMS transport. The driver was charged with violations of PA/VC 3309(1) “Roadways laned for traffic” and 3361 “Driving vehicle at safe speed” through the office of MDJ Jerry CARTWRIGHT, Ellwood City.
ACCIDENT/CARELESS DRIVING:
A one vehicle crash occurred on July 23rd at approximately 1:35 p.m. as 1998 Yamaha YZF-R1 was traveling south on Wampum Road just west of Oswald Street, Wayne Township. According to the report, the operator, Ronald Little, 55, of Wampum, fled the Wampum Police, lost control of the motorcycle and struck the concrete bridge barrier on the right side of the roadway. After striking the barrier, Little was ejected from the motorcycle and it continued to slide south on Wampum Road, coming to a final rest on the right shoulder of Wampum Road. Little received cuts and scrapes on both forearms from the crash and refused EMS transport . Little was charged for several summary traffic offenses, including careless driving, through the office of MDJ Jerry CARTWRIGHT, Ellwood City.
THEFT BY DECEPTION:
On August 12th at 1:29 p.m., a 75-year-old female from San Antonio, Texas came to PA State Police New Castle to report a scam. According to the report, and from a listed location on Ellwood Road, the victim said she asked her cell phone to get her the number for Hertz Rental Car. The number (866) 584-2477 came up through Google Search. She called the number and spoke to a male that said he was Bruce and he had an accent. He told her to go to Walmart and get a Visa “go to bank” card for $485 dollars. Then to call back (866) 301-1562 ext. 0556 and he will set up the rental. When she called back a female who said she was Lori answered and the Victim gave her the card number. Lori then told the Victim to go to Nick’s Auto Body and pick up her car. When the Victim went to Nick’s, they had no idea what she was talking about. She called back the scammers and Bruce said the he will get her a rental from the airport tomorrow. The Victim then came to PSP.
ACTIVE WORK ZONE ACCIDENT:
On August 4th at 10:54 a.m., the Pennsylvania State Police New Castle station responded to a crash at N Tower Road measuring 849 feet south of N Tower Road. According to the report, a 2020 Ford Super Duty driven by Robert Main, 37, of Ellwood City, backed into road clipper in an active work zone. There were no injuries sustained as a result of the crash.
ONE VEHICLE ACCIDENT:
On August 9th at approximately 6:33 a.m., the Pennsylvania State Police New Castle Station responded to a one vehicle crash at State Highway 488 measuring 317 feet north of Pleasent Hill Road. Upon investigation, it was determined 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt left the roadway and struck a barbed fence and utility pole. The driver, Brandon Sherkosky, 24, of Ellwood City, received suspected minor injuries.
