Richard H. Gardner, 91, of Wayne Township passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022 at his residence.
Born July 12, 1931 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Harry and Frances Stevenson Gardner. He was married to Ruth Gables Gardner when she passed in 2002.
Richard was retired from W.R. Grace Zonlite, where he worked as a truck driver. He was formerly active with the Slippery Rock and Berean Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed farming and loved to mow grass.
Survivors include three daughters; Diana Gardner of Ellwood City, Donna (Charles) Behm of Evans City and Patty (Troy) Chapman of Wayne Township; sister Gladys Martin of Butler; brother, Albert (Patty) Gardner of Greenville and two sisters in law; Ilene and Lil Gardner both of Wayne Township.
In addition to his parents and wife Ruth, he was preceded in death by his son Kenneth Gardner in 2005, two sisters Laura Sheldon and Dorothy Christie, and two brothers Chester and Charles Gardner.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday August 8, 2022 from 6:00 pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 7:30 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Rev. Dr. Carolyn Moss will officiate.
Interment will be in the Slippery Rock Church Cemetery Mausoleum.
