Nancy J. Cooper, 83, of Portersville passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022, at UPMC Jameson Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Ellwood and Marien (St. Clair) Vandiver and was born November 3, 1938, in Pittsburgh.
She is survived by her husband, of 64 years and the love of her life; James H. Cooper, her sons; James B. Cooper and his wife Monica, Kenneth H. Cooper and his wife Karen, grandchildren; Bryan Cooper and his wife Kathi, Jason Cooper and his wife Emily, Meagan Aiken and her husband Jeff, Justin Cooper and his wife Kristin, 9 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson; her siblings; Delores Powell, Jackie Mamula, Gary Vandiver, Vivian Wyatt, Craig Vandiver, Debbie Dillion and one brother-in-law; William Cooper.
She was a graduate of Eastbrook High School. She met and married the love of her life, James Cooper in 1958. She was a homemaker. She and her husband enjoyed traveling and she enjoyed baking, especially peanut butter cookies. She enjoyed, most of all spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter
Friends may call on the family on Friday, July 29, 2022, from 4:00pm-7:00pm with a Funeral Service following at Turner Funeral Home in Ellwood City with Pastor Tom Milnes, Pastor Bryan Cooper and Pastor Emily Cooper, officiating.
Interment will be in Zion Baptist Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made, in Nancy’s name, to the Ellport Community Church.
Arrangements entrusted to Turner Funeral Home located at 6th and Park in Ellwood City.
