Sylvia H. Reeher, 95, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 30, 2022 with her children by her side.
Born December 31, 1926, in Koppel, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Frances (Schoenmaker) Plake. She was married to William C. Reeher who passed away on December 29, 1996.
A lifelong resident of Koppel, she was affiliated with Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. A graduate of Lincoln High School, Ellwood City, Class of 1944. She was a secretary at Babcock & Wilcox in the sales department. She belonged to the B & W Girls Organization. Sylvia worked on the Koppel election board. She enjoyed bowling for 20 years and traveling.
Sylvia leaves behind three sons and a daughter. William of College Hill; Donald (Karen) of Big Beaver, John of Beaver Falls, and Joyce (Mark) Medlin of Beaver Falls; Five grandchildren, William Reeher Jr., Brenda Reeher, Amy (Adam) Tate, Mark Medlin Jr., and Jason (Michelle) Medlin; nine great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Elizabeth and Marie Plake, Minnie Walton, and Jean Bates, and a great great granddaughter.
A private blessing service was held at the Marshall Funeral Home, Wampum with Father Mark Thomas officiating.
Interment followed in Grandview Cemetery, Big Beaver Boro, Beaver Falls.
