Frederick Konyak, 84, of North Sewickley Township passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at his residence.
Born January 8, 1938 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Andrew and Helen Burcik Konyak. He was married to Patricia Steckman Konyak.
Fred graduated from Lincoln High School in 1955. For many years, Fred was employed at the B&W in Koppel where he worked in the Melt Shop. Fred enjoyed hunting and fishing at his camp in Mayburg PA, and also enjoyed snowmobiling, volleyball, and horseback riding. Fred was a lifetime member of the NRA and a member of the Moose Club in Ellwood City. He was the oldest living Konyak in his family.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years Patty; daughter, Gwen (Bill) Gottuso of Minnesota; two sons, Eric (Kate) of Zelienople and Curt (Stacy) Konyak of Ellport; daughter in law, Karen Konyak of Ellport; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son Mark Konyak.
As per Fred’s request, no public visitation will be held.
Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
