Daniel F. Kitzko, 86, of New Castle, (Formerly of Wampum) passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Autumn Grove Care Center.
Born March 31, 1936 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Felix S. Sr. and Mary Ann Chabak Kitzko. He was married to Wilma J. Evanoff Kitzko. She passed on July 8, 2009.
Daniel graduated from Shenango High School in 1954. He served in the US Army for 12 years with two years of duty in Vietnam in 1966 and 1967. He worked for Shenango Pottery as a Kiln Draw Operator until his retirement. Daniel was a member of the American Legion in New Castle for 46 years and also the DAV.
Survivors include two daughters, Laura DePietro and Kelly Hand; son, Larry Kitzko; nephew Richard Kitzko; sister, Ann Pendice and several grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife Wilma, he was preceded in death by his first wife Sandra Brest and his brothers, Steve, John, Mike, Andy, George, Simon, and Felix Kitzko Jr.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday May 3, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Castle View Memorial Park in New Castle. Rev. Tod Custer will officiate.
