Annie Trivilino, 90, of Ellwood City, left this earth surrounded by her loving family and into the arms of her Heavenly Father on February 9, 2022.
Affectionately nicknamed “Mema”, she was well known and loved dearly for her strong work ethic, tremendous generosity, and delicious cooking and baking. She was happiest when she was either shopping for or feeding those closest to her heart. Over the years, she cooked numerous meals, baked countless cookies, cakes, and pies. Her kitchen table was open to all, any time of the day or night. If she knew something she made was one of your favorites, you could count on her to make it and bring it to you. Her cheerful disposition and contagious laughter made it such a blessing to be around her.
Annie had worked at the Ellwood City Knitting Mill, G.C. Murphy 5 & 10, Giuseppe’s, Connoquenessing Country Club, A&D Pizza Shop, and Triv’s Electronics.
Born on November 2, 1931, she was the youngest of six siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents, August and Ursula Santillo, a sister, Pauline Alfreda, four brothers, John, Tony, Guy, and Emmett Santillo, and her loving husband of 50 years, Patsy Trivilino.
She is survived by a daughter, Marie (Ronnie) Johnston of South Beaver, a son, Dennis (Alyssa) Trivilino of Ellwood City, a granddaughter, Kara Smith of Chippewa, a grandson, Michael (Chelsea) Johnston of Chippewa, four great-grandchildren, Alan Johnston, Abbie Smith, Anna Johnston, and Ryan Smith, all of Chippewa, two special nephews, Emmett Santillo and Joe Alfreda, two special friends, Sheryll Lipan and Pam Cooper, and countless other nieces and nephews.
Annie’s family would like to thank her caregivers, Shannon, Holly, Aletha, Erin, and Kelsey for the wonderful care that they gave to her.
Funeral services will be private. Please do not send flowers. Mema would rather you spend your flower money at the grocery store. Instead of buying flowers, make a big tray of lasagna, feed it to your family, and give the extras to extended family and friends in her memory. That’s what Mema would want.
The funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.. Interment will be at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
