Daniel J. “Shorty” Senchak, 74, of Wampum passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at his residence.
Born December 19, 1947 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Andrew and Carmella Arket Senchak.
Shorty was formerly employed at the B&W where he worked as a bricklayer. He was a current member of the Croatian Club in West Pittsburg and the Polish White Eagles Club in Chewton. An outdoorsman, Shorty was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and visiting casinos. Shorty was talented with his hands and could build or repair anything.
Survivors include daughter, Anita (Brian) Allen of Wampum; two sons, Dan “Bugsy” of New Castle and Troy (Faith) Senchak of Ellwood City; grandson, Devin Allen; two granddaughters, Hallie and Scarlett Senchak; three brothers, Gerald (Regina), Andrew “Bear” (Marilyn) Senchak both of West Pittsburg, and Anthony (Linda) Senchak.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Donald and a sister in law Marilyn Senchak.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday January 9, 2022 from 4:00 pm until the time of the Blessing Service at 7:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main Street Wampum

I am so sorry to hear of Shorty’s passing. Shorty was one of the nicest guys from the Burg. I don’t live in the Burg anymore but would see him occasionally down the Croatian Club when I would visit. Shorty was somewhat an icon in the Burg! He will be sadly missed!
