Harry A. Lindsay, 84, of New Castle passed away Monday, December 6, 2021 at Quality Life Services following a brief illness.
Harry was born on February 12, 1937 in Darlington, to the late William E. and Nora Catherine Smith Covert Lindsay.
Harry was a graduate of Darlington High School. He served in the US Army in Germany. Harry was retired from the B&W where he worked as a Furnace Operator and was then employed at McDermott’s in Mahoningtown for several years.
Survivors include daughter, Carrie Lindsay of West Pittsburg; son, Christopher (Heidi) Lindsay of Mt. Jackson; two sisters, Ida Lou Fleischman of Darlington and Carol Pletz of Big Beaver Boro; grandson, Christopher (Tristan) Lindsay; granddaughter, Angelique Lindsay and one great grandson, Beau Lindsay.
He was preceded in death by three brothers; William, Joseph, and Charles; two step sisters May Inglas and Helen Hillenbrand; his sister Nora in infancy and his former wife Dorothea.
Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to St Jude Children’s Hospital or Shriners Hospital.
