The annual Ellwood City Halloween Parade will take place on Saturday, October 23rd in downtown Ellwood City.
The parade returns after not being held last year due to COVID-19 concerns.
“The community is ready to attend events in the town and be back to a normal,” says Ellwood City Parade Committee member Josh D’Amico. “Everyone we have talked to is very excited we are having the parade this year.”
According to D’Amico the parade already has nine confirmed floats, two dance studios, five classic cars, Lincoln High School and Riverside Marching Band, and the Ellwood City Baseball team among many participating.
“Seems like we got a lot of people in August telling us they will participate in the parade,” says D’Amico. “In years past we usually didn’t know who would show up until the week of the parade.”
The parade begins at 3:30 p.m. and will stretch the length of Lawrence Avenue heading west. Participants are asked to arrived at the Holy Redeemer School lot by 3:00 p.m. for line up.
Those interested in participating are asked to contact the Ellwood City Chamber of Commerce at 724-758-5501 or email info@ellwoodchamber.org.
OF NOTE: The Borough of Ellwood City, Franklin Township, Ellport Borough, Perry Township, and North Sewickley Township will hold their Trick or Treat nights on Saturday, October 30 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wayne Township will hold their Trick or Treat from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and Wampum from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
