Mary Elizabeth Dombeck, 58

Mary Elizabeth Dombeck, 58, of New Castle passed away Monday, July 12, 2021 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital following a short but courageous battle with cancer.

Born January 7, 1963 in Fort Knox, KY, she was the daughter of J. Charles Dombeck and the late C. Patricia Vlah. She passed on March 12, 1988.

She was employed at the Lawrence County Courthouse from July 18 1994, currently the Judicial Executive Secretary to President Judge Motto. She also worked part time at the former K-Mart and at Aldi’s. She was a graduate of Mohawk High School in 1980, attended Clarion University, and loved her dog Jack.

Survivors include her father Charles “Chuck” Dombeck and her step-mother Grace Dombeck of Wampum; daughter, Casey (Shawn) Macek Palmer of Monaca; two sisters, Jackie Dombeck McBride of New Castle and Janet (Mike) Dombeck Novad of Bessemer; brother, John J. (Billi Jo) Dombeck of Ellwood City; three nephews, four nieces and their families.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by an infant brother.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday July 15, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main Street Wampum.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Holy Redeemer Church on July 16, 2021 at 10:00 am with Father Mark Thomas officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery in Bessemer.
