The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities. Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.
PLEASE NOTE:
The Library has partnered with Seneca Library District, Oil Creek Library District, Erie County Public Library and Crawford County Federated Library System for e-books. You can now use the Overdrive or Libby App. to borrow books from the above Libraries. Please call the library with any questions.
NEW HOURS:
The Library will be open by appointment only. Call the library to set-up an appointment to browse for books or use a computer. Anything printed must be paid for with exact change or check. We will not be making copies at this time. Newspapers and magazines will not be available. Limitations for patrons are 10 items with a limit of three, for either books on CD or DVD’s per person. Masks are to be worn, covering mouth and nose, while in the building for the entire visit. We will continue doing curbside pick-up. Please call us with the book(s), authors, genre or recommended material you would like to check out and our staff will see that it is in alphabetical order in the lobby for you. Limitations for patrons are 10 items to include books and limited to a total of three DVD’s or books on CD per person. All patrons must wear a mask when entering the lobby and wait until there are less than three people in the lobby. We are still doing our returns in specially marked containers in our lobby. Please do not put any donated books in these bins. 724-758-6458 is the number to call with requests.
Hours are Tuesday 10:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m., Wednesday 10:00 a.m. – 6:15 p.m. Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m., Friday 10:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. Lobby is open during these times for curbside pick-up and returns. Please remember no one is available to take your calls unless it is in the hours listed above.

Summer programs done virtually are starting in June:
Tales and Tails – Kindergarten – 3rd grade. This program will take place on Wednesdays
Family Fun Activities – Every third Friday in June, July and August, on Facebook Live. Pick up kits in the Library lobby.
Jumpstart to Kindergarten- For children entering Kindergarten in the fall. These sessions will be on Tuesdays.
Monthly Adult and Young Adult Activities – Fourth Friday in the month on Facebook Live.
Reader’s Theater – Fourth grade and up – will be on Wednesdays
We will continue our book groups:
Book Bunch – Must have completed 3rd grade. – Will meet once a month Tuesdays on Zoom.
Book Worms – Must have completed either 4th or 5th grade. – Will meet once a month Tuesdays on Zoom.
Just You and Me – For girls in 4th or 5th grade. – Will meet once a month Tuesdays on Zoom.
Hooked on Books – Must have completed 6th -8th grade. – Will meet once a month Thursdays on Zoom.
Food 4 Thought – Must have completed 9th – 12th grade. – Will meet once a month Thursdays on Zoom.
