The Ellwood City Junior High softball team racked up two big wins this past week against Beaver Falls and Shenango.
After defeating their cross town rival Riverside last week, the Wolverines continued on their winning ways to bring their season record to 6-1. Pitchers Schwarz and Bogacki each pitched quick games this week with the team only playing eight innings between two games.
Bogacki pitched the first game of the week on Monday against Shenango but didn’t have to stay in there long. The Wolverines offense helped the game go by quickly with almost every player scoring runs and getting hits. Mcquistion lead the team in hits this game with three and lead in RBI’s with five. The team made it short by only playing five innings and winning the game 13-1. Bogacki only allowed one run and one hit in the short game.

LeViere and Mcquistion lead the team in hits, each of them getting two. LeViere also lead the team in RBI”s with four. Each Wolverine starter scored as the mercy rule took place.
The Wolverines will try to keep the win streak alive as they take on Neshannock at home on Wednesday, April 28th at 5:00 p.m before traveling to New Castle on Friday, April 30th for a 4:00 p.m. first pitch.
