POLICE: Weekly Police Blotter

BURGLARY:
Between the dates and times of March 31st at 4:00 p.m. and April 1st at 7:30 a.m a theft occurred in Perry Township, Lawrence County. According to the report, between the dates and times, an unknown actor went inside an unlocked and took a Milwaukee Metal Cutting Saw and other miscellaneous items from the commercial location on Eicholtz Lane. Value of the four items stolen totaled over $225.00 according to the report.

THEFT OF VEHICLE PARTS:
On April 4th at approximately 2:15 a.m. a theft of vehicle parts was reported in Perry Township, Lawrence County. According to New Castle Patrol Unit report, a 70-year-old victim caught the actor attempting to steal items from the homeowner’s vehicle parked at his residence on Portersville Road. The homeowner scared off the actor as the actor was attempting to steal items from a 1981 Jeep model vehicle.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:
Pennsylvania State Police were dispatched to New Beaver Borough to speak with a victim whos vehicle was egged while she was driving through Wampum Borough on Route 18 on April 5 at approximately 5:00 p.m. On scene the victim said that she was traveling south on Route 18 just prior to Old Route 18 when a dark color, smaller SUV threw an egg at the front of her 2021 Jeep Cherokee. The vehicle sustained minor damage. The victim said that a whie male with short sleeves threw the egg from the rear driver side window when they passed.

THEFT:
On April 3 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. New Castle Police reported a trailer theft in North Beaver Township, Lawrence County. The trailer, stolen from the driveway of the residence on McClain Road, was freshly painted black and the wheels were freshly painted white. According to the report, the 66-year-old victim related that the trailer gate is a black mesh and also has a diamond plated toolbox on the front with a spare tire underneath the toolbox.

DOG ATTACK:
A dog attacked another dog near 5th Avenue, Koppel Borough, causing injury. According to a report, and on April 6th at approximately 11:03 p.m., the accused dog got lose from a fenced in yard and attacked the victims dog causing injury. The accused, Jonathan Stephenson, 31, of Koppel, was cited for not keeping his dog confined with MDJ 36-3-02.
