Patricia L. Lutz, 67, of Portersville passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital following complications from a stem cell transplant.
Born April 19, 1953 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Esther P. Brown Magee.
Patty retired from the Ellwood City School District where she worked in the cafeteria for 17 years. She was an active member of the Wurtemburg United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. Patty loved to sing, go camping, and bike riding. She also enjoyed scrap booking. Her most cherished time was spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Bernard “Bernie” R. Lutz; three daughters, Jody (Jerry) Osborne of Butler, Tammy (Tim) McLaughlin of Portersville, Trisha (Joe) Derringer of Darlington; three sisters, Carolyn (Bud) Hinkle of Portersville, Bonnie (Bob) Lansberry of Las Vegas, NV, Nancy (Jim) Graham of Portersville; 6 grandchildren, Wyatt and Morgan McLaughlin, Haden and Brady Osborne, Emma and Sarah Derringer; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday April 2, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home. 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Friends will also be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 until the time of the funeral service at 11 am. Her pastor, Rev. Jay Sterling will officiate. Interment will follow in Mountville Cemetery.
