The Tee Box Indoor Golf and Sports Lounge to Open April 5

The much anticipated opening of The Tee Box Indoor Golf and Sports Lounge, 630 Beaver Avenue, will happen on April 5 when the public will be able to rent out the simulators.

We took a few minutes to sit down with the owner of The Tee Box, Ryan Venezie for a Q&A session to get the scoop on what people can expect when they visit the new facility:

Opening date?  April 5^th will be soft opening, grand opening is TBD depending on the liquor license.

Will you have food and drinks? If so what type of food/drinks? Any special beers or cocktails?  Yes,  8 draft beers, plenty of selection on bottles,  food will consist of standard bar type food ex. Mozzarella sticks, wraps, sandwiches, fries etc.

What can people do at The Tee Box? Can you describe the simulator and what it can do?  Indoor golf,  darts, pool, golden tee arcade game, the simulators will be for rent by the half hour and they can choose if they want to play golf or any of the other included games such as baseball, football, hockey, dodgeball, bocce etc.

What do you think is the best part about your facility? Can you describe your facility? The golf simulators!  They are some of the best units available, highly accurate, realistic and fun to play on.  The facility is a open space to keep it a “Indoor/Outdoor” feel and the bar seating area is sectioned off but still provides viewing of simulator play.

What made you want to open a business in Ellwood City?  Boredom mostly. It is very hard to find things to do in town during the winter, late evenings, or when the weather is not the best outside.   Hopefully people will start to recognize The Tee Box from out of town and start to come into Ellwood City to use the facility.

Have you always wanted to own a sports lounge? Why?  Not necessarily—I grew up playing baseball and golf and continued through college with baseball.  When I purchased the building to move my other businesses into, the open warehouse space was intriguing and the original thoughts were to put a couple batting cages in but that somehow evolved into a full blown indoor golf facility.

What are you looking forward to the most about the future of your business? Looking forward to seeing people from around the area come in and enjoy using the simulators all year round

Do you have a list of services/prices? Simulator rentals are the only real service that we have and the rental prices are based on OFF peak and ON peak hours. From Monday to Friday at 4 p.m. are off peak times and the simulators will be $30 per hour. From Friday at 4 p.m. to Sunday closing time is ON peak and they will be $40 per hour. Each simulator bay has a max of 6 participants per rental hour.

Hours? 8 a.m  to 12 a.m. seven days a week until we get the liquor license and then extending the hours on weekends

Looking to hire? We will be needing bartenders in the near future and will always accept applications for part-time work.
