Darlene L. Schrantz, 77, of West Pittsburg passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021 at UPMC – Jameson Hospital. Although in ill health, death was unexpected.
Born February 18, 1943 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Albert J. and Goldie Young Boughter.
Darlene was affiliated with the Grace Bible Church. She enjoyed watching the Wheel of Fortune and Days of our Lives, shopping with her granddaughters, and face timing with her grandkids. Her most cherished time was spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, George E. Schrantz; daughter, Darla (Bob) Terpilowski of Shenango Twp.; son, Eddie (Crissa) Schrantz of Ellwood City; sister, Shirley (Jack) Sallmen of New Castle; brother, Albert Boughter of Birdsboro; five grandchildren, Felicia (Jacob) Ramirez, Melinda (Luke) Grimm, Holton and Kurtis Schrantz, and Bobby Terpilowski Jr. and two great grandsons, Coby Ramirez and Waylon Grimm; and a great granddaughter, Oakley Grimm soon to be added to the family. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Sally Lastoria and Ginger Kennedy, brother, Eddie Mazur and a grandson, Chase Schrantz.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, February 10 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main Street Wampum.
Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 am with Pastor John Coomber of Grace Bible Church officiating. Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
