Carmine Tomeo, 66

Carmine Tomeo, 66, formerly of Ellwood City, took an unexpected trip to the Pearly Gates (where I’m sure he’s showing St. Peter a more efficient method of admitting guests) Friday, December 11, 2020 at his residence in New Milford, NJ.

Born August 13, 1954 he was the son of the late Anthony J. Tomeo and Violet Paswell Tomeo, who preceded him in death.

He was for many years a manufacturer’s representative in the jewelry business. Carmine was (and still from on high) an avid Steelers fan. He was very active in the Fantasy Football League, “Ray’s Angels,” where he diligently served as the commissioner, and was affectionately known as, “The Commish.”

Survivors include a daughter, Melina Tomeo of Pittsburgh; a sister Giorgina (Louis) Sbarro of Ellwood, Anthony Tomeo, jr of New Castle and Mark (Eilene Seng) Tomeo of Allison Park, John And Veronica Turner family of New Milford, NJ, numerous nieces, one nephew, his cigar buddies at Jergels and numerous friends and acquaintances to many to name.

Carmine was a Roman Catholic. A private service will be held on Thursday, December 17,2020 at the Marshall’s Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave, Ellwood City. Internment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery, also located in Ellwood City.

Memorial Contributions may be made to The American Heart Association in Carmine’s name and online condolences may be sent to marshallsfh.com

A former EC High School classmate, Carmine always had a smile on his face and made everyone laugh. My deepest sympathies to his entire family.
