Fall Band Bash to Benefit 2021 Fireworks Display

Have you been itching to get out and enjoy a concert?

Look no further than Ellwood City and the 1st Annual Ellwood City Fall Band Bash.

Eric Rayner, organizer of the event, said he is thrilled to be able to have such an exciting fundraiser.

“I think this event comes at a perfect time for a lot of people,” Rayner said. “2020 has been rough for everyone. With the pandemic causing most things to be canceled, and the non-stop election stuff, I think we all need something.”

Beginning at Noon on November 7th at William Rodgers Memorial Park in Ellport, music lovers will have the opportunity to see seven area bands and all proceeds will benefit the 2021 Ellwood City Fireworks Display.

The lineup includes:

  • The Leftovers
  • Bobby Thompson & The Groove
  • Mockin Byrd Layne
  • Hi-Jacked
  • KELLER
  • PJ Rillo & The Western Spirit
  • The Middle Room

Cost will be $10 or $5 if you wear a fireworks shirt. Children 10 and under will be admitted for free.

In addition to the bands, attendees will be able to enjoy food and drinks and a possibility to win prizes.

  • Koehler Brewery will be selling beer.
  • Smokin Dave’s will be selling BBQ
  • “Pappy Ricks” will be selling kettle corn
  • Coffee and Hot Chocolate, sweets, and snacks will be sold by Ellwood City Little Wolverines Football Boosters!
  • And there will be a 50/50 Raffle

Rayner said safety measures will be in place when it comes to Covid.

“We are doing it at a really big park outside so there’s plenty of space for people to social distance and do what they need to do,” he said.

According the Rayner, the fundraiser was a community effort.

“My favorite part of putting this together was working with so many local people to make this happen,” Rayner said. “Ellport borough donated to park for the day, EC Little Wolverines football boosters are going to sell coffee and hot chocolate and snacks and sweets. And we’ve been able to get some local business on board too. Koehler’s will be selling beer (Pete’s uptown donated them the beer trailer for the day), Smokin Dave’s will be selling food, and Pappy Ricks Kettle Corn will be there. Not to mention all the bands. ED Quear of EQ audio gave us a really nice discount to run sound for the day. It has just has been really cool to work with all these people, and it helps not only the fireworks but all these groups and business involved. It’s a win win for all of us.”
