NOTE: This is part three of a series featuring Spooktacular Events in Lawrence County
Cars, costumes, and candy.
Join Trucks of the Hollow for their first annual “Truck or Treat.”
Vehicles of all shapes and sizes are encouraged to join the lineup on Saturday, October 17 at 355 North Tower Road Fombell, PA 16123.
Event organizer Kaytlin Wright said she hopes to see a big crowd of vehicles and participants.
“We were inspired to do this Trunk or Treat since a lot of the Halloween-themed events in the area aimed at the kiddos were cancelled due to the pandemic,” Wright said. “For me personally, Halloween was one of my favorite times of year as a child so we just wanted to do something fun for the kids of our community to keep the traditions of the season as alive as possible during the current times.”
Cost of the event for participating vehicles is $10. There will be a cash prize for best decorated vehicle. All vehicles participating in the Trunk or Treat also must bring their own candy to disperse. Participating vehicles should arrive at 5 p.m. in order to setup and be ready for trick or treaters. All participants are encouraged to wear costumes.
Trick or treaters are welcome to arrive and participate from 6 to 8 p.m.
“Please come out and have a nice fun evening with us checking out the trucks as well as getting your Halloween candy fix,” Wright said.
Along with her fiancé and co-organizer of the event, Daryk Pitzer, Wright is looking forward to the inaugural event.
She said that social distancing guidelines will be encouraged.
