Suds and Scares Plenty at E-Z Kleen Car and Van Wash

NOTE: This is part one of a series featuring Spooktacular Events in Lawrence County

A clean car and a little scare.

You can get both starting today at E-Z Kleen Car and Van Wash.

Owner Steven Chill has transformed his sudsy business into a spooky attraction.

“There will be animatronics and people dressed up in costumes,” Chill said.

The haunted car wash was inspired by Chill’s love of Halloween. He said this year with Coronavirus, he wanted to provide a unique experience that could be enjoyed with plenty of social distance.

“You don’t even have to get out of the car,” he said.

For an admission cost of $20, thrill seekers and neat freaks can get a car wash ($12 value), a spooky show, and a bag of candy. There will even be a scary movie.

The attraction is best suited for teenagers and adults, but Chill has plans to include plenty of activities with children for next year. He said with Coronavirus, he decided to save those activities for a safer time.

“I just don’t feel comfortable doing stuff like that right now,” he said.

Stop out tonight and Friday from 7:00-10:30 p.m. and every Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:00-10:30 p.m. the rest of October (weather permitting).

And Chill said don’t worry about long lines.

“Even if there is a long line there is so much stuff to watch,” Chill said. Every direction you look there is something and you won’t know if it’s a real person or an animatronic.”
