The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities. Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.
NOTE
The Library will be taking return books in specially marked bin in the Library parking lot Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Bins are for Library books and Inter-library Loan books only. Please do not put donated books into the bins. There is one bin specially marked for just audio books on CD, CD’s and DVD’s. Please keep watch for our curbside service coming soon!
Activities taking place this week include
TUESDAY, JUNE 16
10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Return your books to the specially marked bins in the Library’s parking lot.
11:00 a.m. – “Picture This” a program for students in 2nd – 5th grade. Storyteller, Mike Perry, will be the presenter and it will appear virtually on Zoom. Children will receive an invitation through email 5 – 10 minutes before the program begins. Participants must be signed up to attend.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 17
10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Return your books to the specially marked bins in the Library’s parking lot.
2:00 p.m. “Dragons, Dreams, and Daring Deeds!” a program for students in Kindergarten – 3rd grade. A story will be read and a craft will be demonstrated each week that can be done at home. This program will appear on Zoom. Children will receive an invitation to join the program by email about 5 – 10 minutes before the program begins. Participants must be signed up to attend.
6:00 p.m. “Family Laptime” It will air on Facebook live, sign up by calling the library Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.
THURSDAY, JUNE 18
10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Return your books to the specially marked bins in the Library’s parking lot.
11:00 a.m. – “Hooked on Books Book Group,” the group will be discussing the book “The Book Scavenger” Jennifer Chambliss Bertman.
2:00 p.m. – “Just 4 Girls Book Group,” the group will be discussing the book “I heart you, you heart me” by Lisa Schroeder.
FRIDAY, JUNE 19
No time- “Exquisite Copse,” for teenagers. Program will be conducted by email with final product published on Library’s Facebook page. Each person will add to either a writing prompt or a piece of artwork without knowing what the entire project contains. Time between sessions depends on the number of teens involved.

Hooked on Books – 6th – 8th grade. Meets at 11:00 a.m. Thursday June 18, July 9, and August 6.
Just 4 Girls – 9th – 12th grade. Meets at 2:00 p.m. Thursday June 18, July 9, and August 13 (combined meeting with Food 4 Thought).
Food 4 Thought – 9th – 12th grade. Meets at 2:00 p.m. Thursday June 25, July 16, and August 13 (combined meeting with Just 4 Girls).
