The Department of Public Works is holding a Poster Contest for children ages 4 and 12.
“The community garden is a fantastic project for Ellwood City! I am elated to see our community work together for the greater good,” said Rhiannon Schnell, the secretary of Public Works and Code Enforcement.
This contest is being held in honor of their new Community Garden utility shed at 5 Points and the winners will have their poster on display for a whole year at the garden. In order to enter, you must reside in the borough of Ellwood City, be a child between the ages of 4 and 12, and you can pick up the contest form at the Borough Office in the Municipal Building. Submissions must be either dropped off at the Municipal Building or mailed in no later then June 19.
“The poster contest is a fabulous way to include the youngest of our residents! I can’t wait to see what artistic talent they share with our town,” said Schnell.
